1st I've nuked my drive on a Samsung laptop because I want to sell it!
2nd I've installed Windows 8Pro. I cannot login to laptop as this would cause problems having to rename account etc...
3rd I need to re-install Samsung recovery tool. The problem is I need to be logged in to install!

Restoring Boot Record for Win 7/Win 8 dual boot set up
I had a Windows 7/Windows 8 dual boot set up, each OS on its own disk but I had to reinatall Windows 7 and as a result I can no longer boot Windows 8.

Intel Pro Network problem.
Hi.
I want to upgrade my old Vostro 400 running Vista to Win 8, but running the Win8 upgrading assistant i found the following uncompatibility among any other minor stuff:
"Intel(R) PRO Network Connections 12.1.11.0"
As far i know there are no new drivers available. Intel website refers to Dell and there is no Win 7 or Win 8 drivers for my desktop

Win8 Recovery DVD Not Bootable!
I just created the HP Recovery DVD in windows 8 Single Language.
The creation processes were successful. I used 4 DVD as required. But to my greatest disappointment, the first DVD (which suppose to have the setup.exe or whatever it is called) does not have it. None of the DVD has it.
So, I can't make a fresh installation from the DVDs I created.
Please, how do I get the missing file...

Windows 8 x64 - Two Control Panel icons in Taskbar..?!
Since I installed Windows 8 (on top of Vista x64 Ultimate) I have two Control Panel icons in the Taskbar.
If I right click and choose Delete to the one on the left, nothing happens.
If I right click and choose Delete to the one on the right, it deletes, but it reappears after a Reboot.
This is driving me nuts. I only want one icon.
How can I achieve this?
