The frequency that the laptop checks for new Emails

I have a POP3 Email address (Tiscali). i have it set up on "Outlook" I can send and receive Emails ok but the check for new incoming ones is currently every 30 minutes. I should be able to change that to what I want (every 2 minutes). I cannot find how to do it - despite Goggling for a solution. Some solutions were given but the options were not visible on my machine. Please advise
