I've websearched this all over and can't get the skinny:
this is an old "learner" system that I have Windows 8 [early] Developer Preview installed on. It worked ok.
I tried to install RP today both as an upgrade and from DVD and it fails both ways.
From within, I get the "Not compatible with system CPU" error. From the DVD it just flops with no messages after "loading" files
