So I have linux ubuntu on my little homemade computer and finally was able to get a copy of windows 8.1 and have no idea how to just get rid of my ubuntu machine and boot windows I'm not trying to dual boot I just want to have windows on my computer finally.

Solved Windows 8 back to Windows 7
I downloaded win 7 from digital river, and created a usb boot from window 7 USB & DVD tool but when I goto install 7 I get a error saying bootmgr is missing, I have downgraded before fine, and the only way I could get my windows to boot was to reinstall Win 8.1 from start, whats going on?

Windows 8.1 downgrade back to windows 8
I updated my windows 8 os to windows 8.1 via windows store and now my laptop slows up. Booting takes a couple of minute around 3-5 then loading apps also now takes a minute to load and in gaming i sometimes have fps drops which i dont have in windows 8

Accidentally installed as MBR. Should I reinstall as GPT?

Install question on new PC
I'd like to make sure my assumptions are correct regarding drive identification. I'm doing a custom install (currently no OS on the PC. Windows is only identifying the drives as Drive 0, Drive 1, and Drive 2 Partittion 1: My Book (this is an external storage drive). Windows boot order problem
I have a SSD and a HDD. I installed Windows from a flash drive, so I inserted the flash drive and restarted the computer and entered the BIOS setup. I changed the boot order so Windows would see the flash drive. The OS was successfully installed, and I went back to change the boot order.

System Administrator not recognized when loading software
I am brand new to Windows 8.1 so please bear with me. I set myself up as System Administrator during installation. When I try to load the software from CD for a 5510 HP printer I get an error saying I cannot do it because I am not a System Administrator.
