Windows 8 reinstall problems

Hi There, My new laptop is a Dell Inspiron 17r SE, with windows 8 installed. It came with a 1TB 5400rpm drive, but with second bay, and I installed a 256gb samsung 840 pro ssd then successfully cloned the OS onto that, which now runs fine (ish) as the main drive, with the old one as a storage drive. When I say the new HD is fine-ish, sometimes random Dell programs will interrupt whatever...
